Racing at Bretton Woods

Bretton Woods maintains several race courses, junior teams and leagues for skiers and riders who love ski racing. In 2015/16 Bretton Woods will also be home to the Competition Center for aspiring junior racers. The NASTAR course can be accessed on the Bretton's Woods Trail, please review schedule and available passes before heading to the gate! Want to join one of our alpine racing leagues? Learn more about our Saloon and Fireball race series and join us for a season of racing fun. For additional information regarding any of our race programs or offerings please call Guest Services at Bretton Woods at (603) 278-3320.

The NASTAR Course is closed for the 2014/15 winter season. See you next year!

Developed by SKI magazine in 1968, NASTAR (NAtional STAndard Race) is the largest recreational ski and snowboard race program in the world. Since the program's inception, more than 6 million skiers and snowboarders have raced NASTAR. Our mission is simple - provide a fun, competitive and easily accessible racing program that, through the development of a handicap system, allows racers of all ages and abilities a means to compare their race results to other competitors across the country. For full information, please check out www.nastar.com

The Bretton Woods NASTAR race arena is located on the Bretton's Wood Trail, easily visible from the Base Lodge (under the B-Lift double chair). The NASTAR course has closed for the 2015/16 season. However, typically during the winter season the course  is available Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am - 12 pm and 12:45 - 3 pm. The course may not be available on select dates when a scheduled race supersedes NASTAR operations.

The cost for NASTAR is $7 for two runs or $12 for a full day of racing fun.

The 2014/15 NASTAR Season Pass at Bretton Woods is just $99 for all ages! This pass includes unlimited runs during normal operating hours and up to one medal per day! Pass is not non-transferable. Call (603) 278-3303 for full details, or stop in at the Bretton Woods Ski & Snowboard School Desk on the lower level of the Bretton Woods Base Lodge.
