Bretton Woods Canopy Tour
COMING SOON for Summer 2013!
Beginning in late-June, this experience of a lifetime gets even better! The lower third of the tour receives an upgrade, and as a result:
- 4 new ziplines, totaling over 3000 feet, replace 4 existing, shorter spans
- Nearly 1000 feet added to the length of the tour
- The entire tour takes place in the canopy of the trees
- An all-new conclusion to the tour
Previous Canopy Tour participants will love the new ziplines, and first-timers will enjoy an even better taste of what a true canopy tour is all about!
Located right here in Bretton Woods, NH, and descending over 1000 feet of elevation, the tour takes nature-lovers and thrill-seekers across a series of tree-top zip lines through a network of platforms high in the ancient hemlocks. High-flying suspension bridges and hiking trails connect the nine zip lines, and the tour concludes with the Williwaw Racing Zip, a dual, side-by-side zip line leading right into the Bretton Woods base area!
This unique canopy tour features a dual-cable construction (you slide below two separate cables, instead of just one), coated cables (to make for a quiet, more natural flight through the trees) and platforms and bridges milled from locally-harvested wood sources, in keeping with our commitment to environmentally sustainable programs.
Once on the tour, our Adventure Guides describe the native flora and fauna, in addition to discussing the surrounding area, its natural history and White Mountain lore. Each pair of guides may accommodate up to eight participants.
All in all, a unique New Hampshire experience not to be missed!
Williwaw Racing Zip
The Williwaw Racing Zip is a thrilling way to sample zip lining. One ride takes about 20 minutes, including getting harnessed up, transported to the top and getting unharnessed. Plus - you may take multiple rides at a reduced rate, provided you stay in your harness and do your rides in immediate succession!
