Disabled Veterans Appreciation Day
Bretton Woods Adaptive Sports & Recreation and the Omni Mount Washington Resort will host Veterans Appreciation Days on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Disabled veterans and their immediate families, from the North Country of New Hampshire and Vermont, will receive complimentary ski and winter sport lessons, complimentary use of equipment, including the use of adaptive equipment through the Bretton Woods Adaptive Program, and lunch. Bretton Woods Adaptive Sports & Recreation provides instruction to enable persons with physical or developmental challenges to participate in recreational sports. Join them as they provide a wonderful day of prizes, food, and of course, skiing! Teams compete in fun events and raise funds from sponsors. Teams also receive free skiing, riding or trekking for the day, luncheon buffet and après ski party. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of contests and the most important theme of the day, HAVE FUN! Read more.

38th Annual Mount Washington Cup Nordic Race

Join us for this 38th annual 14 km Freestyle (skate ski) Race, which is part of the Wellinghurst Memorial Series. Located on the grounds of the historic Mount Washington Hotel and the White Mountain National Forest, the Bretton Woods Nordic Center is one of the largest cross country areas in the East. The 100-km trail network crosses open fields, meanders through woods of spruce and fir, passes beaver ponds and mountain streams, and traverses open hardwood stands. Read more.
