Golden Era Jazz Weekend: July 7-9, 2017

The Jazz Age Comes To Life

Imagine stepping into the Omni Mount Washington Resort in its Golden Era heyday. Jazz Age music echoes through the halls, ladies stroll the Veranda and rebellion of the Prohibition is in the air. We are looking forward to welcoming guests as they join us in a weekend celebrating the Jazz Age Era in true style.

Taste exquisite, award-winning cuisine during themed meals, take a dance class, join us for a Jazz Picnic on the lawn, enjoy historic tours of the Grand Dame and lectures about the Grand Hotels of the Granite State, have high tea (or a more forbidden party in The Cave- once a Prohibition Era Speakeasy!).

Friday evening starts with a welcome reception with opportunities to buy or rent costumes for the weekend, have your photo taken by a vintage photographer, purchase a treat from cigarette girls wandering the Great Hall, hear the “Opening Season” clock chime and sip favorite cocktails.

Saturday brings a gourmet breakfast, before being immersed in a selection of fun workshops and classes ranging from etiquette, floral arranging, Jazz Era dancing,  to monetary conference lectures and whiskey tastings.  Step back in time to the Golden Era, and enjoy an afternoon of picnicking among sweet notes of jazz, lively performances and more on our expansive lawn. The highlight of the day whisks guests to Jay & Daisy’s Roaring Twenties in a Great Gatsby-themed dinner complete with bubbles that would secure any flower’s affection, Oysters Rockefeller, and of course, twelve lemon cakes. Guests are encourage to show off their new talents and knowledge, at a little party that never killed nobody!

The weekend wraps up with breakfast and a send off fit for our Grand Hotel royalty, Princess Carolyn, with the hopes our guests will join us again next year for another magical weekend!
