Bretton Woods Season-Long Ski Programs

The Bretton Woods Ski & Snowboard School is pleased to offer a variety of seasonal programs for adults, teens and kids. These programs are designed to improve techniques while providing a fun and comfortable environment. Bretton Woods also hosts  junior racing programs as part of the Bretton Woods Competition Center. For additional information regarding any of these season-long programs, or to register for the 2016-17 program, please call (603) 278-3303 or visit the Bretton Woods Ski and Snowboard School Desk, located on the lower level of the Base Lodge.  All payments must be made by December 18, 2016 for season-long programs.


2016/17 Children's Season-Long Programs

Bretton Woods Development Program: Ages 4-13

For children ages 4-13 who are looking to develop their skills on all types of terrain and want to explore how far they can take their skiing potential.
WHEN: January 7, 2017 – March 18, 2017
TIME: Saturdays, 9 am - 3 pm; Supervised lunch from 12 - 1 pm
COST: $719/child; Payment must be made by Dec. 18, 2016
• The minimum skiing ability to participate in this program is the “green zone” as described by the Bretton Woods Ski School.


DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM REGISTRATION

Freestyle Program: Ages 6-13

For skiers and riders ages 6-13 that are beginning to explore freestyle. We use Smart Style and the ATML approach to safely teach the basics of freestyle and park riding. Our parks are planned and built using the most current “progressive park” building techniques.

WHEN: January 7, 2017 – March 18, 2017
TIME: Saturdays, 9 am - 3 pm; Supervised lunch from 12-1 pm
COST: $719/child; Payment must be made by Dec. 18, 2016

• The minimum skiing ability to participate in this program is the “blue zone” as described by the Bretton Woods Ski School.


FREESTYLE PROGRAM REGISTRATION

NORDIC-BKL RECREATIONAL LEAGUE-GRADES K-8

An introduction to Nordic skiing in a group through shared ability-appropriate adventure on skis, games to develop agility and foster social interaction, and tours to develop skills, endurance and enjoyment of the natural surroundings. The goal is for young skiers to become comfortable on all groomed terrain, know how to navigate the ski area and foster good decision making. Also includes coaching support at the annual Bill Koch Festival in March. Each session starts with group activities followed by skiing with a coach in smaller groups with similar skills.

• Recommended for all abilities in this age group.
• Parents are required to be nearby (either participating or within view of the group) for participants ages 7 and younger.

WHEN: Sundays, January 1, 2017 – March 5, 2017
TIME: 10 am – 11:45 am; plus select days during vacation weeks
COST: $100/child; $75/child for additional children in same family

NORDIC-BKL RECREATIONAL LEAGUE REGISTRATION

NORDIC-YOUTH COMPETITION TEAM-GRADES 6-12

This program will introduce young athletes to the techniques and terrain tactics that are needed for all types of Nordic Skiing and competition, while continuing to develop a love for skiing, skiing fast and outdoor life. Coaching support will be provided at a selection of BKL and citizen races. Saturday & Sunday will be a traditional team workout, and all participants are invited to take part in Friday Time Trials when schedules permit. Also includes coaching support at the annual Bill Koch Festival in March.


• Recommended for all abilities in this age group.

WHEN: December 3, 2016 – March 12, 2017 (excluding December 25)
TIME: Saturdays: 9 am – 11 am, Sundays: 12 pm – 1:45 pm plus select days during vacation weeks
COST: $350/child (minimum 5 participants)

Mountain Masters Program

For adults who want to develop the skills to enjoy the mountain’s varied terrain in all conditions. Men and women can gain confidence and achieve their personal best. We will tailor the program to your needs, and you will ski with some of our most talented instructors.

WHEN: January 7, 2017 – March 18, 2017
TIME: Saturdays, 9 am –11:30 am
COST: $299 per person for the 11 week program
• The minimum skiing ability to participate in this program is the “blue zone” as described by the Bretton Woods Ski School.

MOUNTAIN MASTERS REGISTRATION

Women First Ski Program

Improve your skills and confidence in a friendly environment. Maximize the opportunity to ski better with coaching by women for women. Skiers are grouped by pace and ability.

WHEN: January 7, 2017 – March 18, 2017
TIME: Saturdays, 9:30 am – 3 pm; Lunch break on your own from 12-1 pm
COST: $499 per person for the season
• The minimum skiing ability to participate in this program is “blue zone” as described by the Bretton Woods Ski and Snowboard School.

WOMEN FIRST ONLINE REGISTRATION

Wiser Woods Program

Enjoy the camaraderie of your contemporaries and the guidance of one of our experienced instructors. Open to skiers and riders age 50+. Make new friends and explore the mountain together.

WHEN: January 3, 2017 – March 14, 2017 (off February 21)
TIME: Tuesdays, 9 am–12 pm
WHERE: Meet on Slopeside Level of Base Lodge
COST: $125 per person for the season or $199 per couple
• The minimum skiing ability to participate in this program is “blue zone” as described by the Bretton Woods Ski and Snowboard School.
• Includes morning refreshments at Slopeside, group ski with coaching, receive 10% off retail, 10% off demo equipment, and enjoy an end of season get-together.

WISER WOODS ONLINE REGISTRATION

NORDIC SUNDAY PERFORMANCE CLINICS

“Ski with a Pro” group sessions for advanced skiers who are looking to break barriers to smoother skiing on varied terrain.
WHEN: December 4, 2016 – February 26, 2017 (excluding December 25)
TIME: Sundays, 8am-9:30 am
WHERE: Meet at the Nordic Center
COST: $80 per person for the 12 week session or “drop in” rate of $10

NORDIC SUNDAY PERFORMANCE REGISTRATION

Please Note

  • All participants must have a Bretton Woods season pass or day ticket to participate each day.
  • All payment must be made by December 18, 2016 for Season-Long Programs.
  • Minimum number of participants required.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations are required for our popular programs and are charged in full when booked. A full refund, less a $35 processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received 48 hours prior to date of arrival. Cancellations or changes made less than 48 hours prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of full cost of reserved activity, including those due to inclement weather or snow conditions.
