"Although my wife and I had never done this before and were a little leary about being so high up, the staff was so reassuring and calm that we focused mainly on the process, and what they were saying. We began to enjoy the scenery and hardly noticed that we were so high up. We never felt as though we were in any danger, in fact we looked forward to going higher and higher and for a longer zip. Your guides must have been well chosen as they made the tour an extremely enjoyable experience."

Heather McKendry, Canopy Tour Director

Heather McKendry, Canopy Tour Director
Heather brings a wide knowledge base to the Canopy Tour. With a background in outdoor education, and both feet firmly planted in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, it is perfect that she joins us here at the Canopy Tour. In her spare time, she is a gardener, cyclist, and motorcycle rider. We welcome her energy, sense of humor and flare for fashion.

Greg Auger, Canopy Tour Guide

Greg Auger, Canopy Tour Guide
Greg originally came from up the road a piece in Groveton, NH and is currently seeking his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from UNH. He'll be getting married this summer but in the meantime, he's hitched to our canopy tour as one of our trusty guides. He's very familiar with our resort having worked here for a total of 14 years, mostly in ski patrol and ski school. When you meet Greg, you'll quickly get the sense that he loves working in the great outdoors and hiking, mountain biking, and skiing occupy his spare time as well.

Alexa Bernotavicz, Canopy Tour Guide
In addition to managing mountain operations at Bretton Woods, Alexa is a fun and talented guide. She brings a wealth of knowledge from geology to lift mechanics. Just don't ask her to guide a tour when the Patriots are playing - she probably has other plans.

Neal Brodien, Canopy Tour Guide

Neal Brodien, Canopy Tour Guide
Our walking nature encyclopedia, weather enthusiast and knowledgeable tour guide, Neal has made a flawless transition from ski patroller to guide. He brings us a wealth of outdoor experience and facts about every facet of our natural world. Take advantage; you have a treat in store as Neal guides you through the magical world which surrounds us, as we zip through the trees.

Jamie Cunningham, Canopy Tour Guide

Jamie Cunningham, Canopy Tour Guide
Jamie brings to the Canopy Tour a diverse background rooted in a life of adventure and exploration. He grew up on the ocean, sailing the British Virgin Islands extensively with his parent's charter yacht business, spent 35 years as a technical climber, scaling many big walls in the Western mountains of the US, most notably the 3,000' monolith, El Capitan, in Yosemite National Park, and has reached 23,000' on Annapurna I in Nepal. He's an accomplished photographer, whose work has been published in several New England climbing guides and national climbing magazines, and he's currently writing a rock climbing guide book on the White Mountain Notches. He holds an Associates Degree in Recreation Management from the University of Maine and a diploma in Photo Journalism from the New England School of Photography. You're guaranteed to have a spirited tour with Jamie!

Todd Donahue, Canopy Tour Guide

Todd Donahue, Canopy Tour Guide
Most of Todd's work has been in places where most people play. Whether working at ski areas out west, guiding snowmobile tours, or enjoying some kayaking or golf, Todd makes sure he has a good time. You'll definitely enjoy a Canopy Tour with Todd.

Lennie Fillius, Canopy Tour Guide

Lennie Fillius, Canopy Tour Guide
Lennie spent 23 years developing and operating adventure-based therapeutic programs in NJ. He came to us from the Bretton Woods Ski School, where he still teaches in the winter months, teaching alpine and telemark skiing. He enjoys motorcycle touring, kayaking, cycling, hiking, and of course, showing our guests a good time on the Canopy Tour.

Tim Fleury, Canopy Tour Guide

Tim Fleury, Canopy Tour Guide
Tim's from Wesford, MA originally and graduated from Lyndon State College with a degree in Ski Area Management. He's worked 3 years at our resort as the Ski Area Events Coordinator and currently resides in Littleton, NH with his new wife Katherine. Tim enjoys fly-fishing and downhill skiing and is about as friendly and easy-goin' as they come up here in the North Country.

Kevin Fraser, Canopy Tour Guide

Kevin Fraser, Canopy Tour Guide
If it's an outdoor activity, Kevin's got it covered. An avid hiker and member of the AMC 4000 footer club, he's also a member of Bretton Woods Ski Patrol and 14 year member of the National Ski Patrol. Add 32 years as a firefighter, 20 years as a high school soccer coach, bike riding, and kayaking to his arsenal and you're in good hands on our tour with this well-rounded outdoorsman.

Doug Harman, Canopy Tour Guide

Doug Harman, Canopy Tour Guide
After spending many years working in the hectic world of emergency medicine in Connecticut, Doug is happy to enjoy a more relaxed pace living in the north country of New Hampshire. With several years working as a ski patroller and mountain bike patroller, Doug still appreciates - as much as ever - spending his days showing our guests a little bit of the good life.

Kris Hennessey, Canopy Tour Guide

Kris Hennessey, Canopy Tour Guide
We welcome Kris' passion for outdoor activities and true appreciation for the art of conversation. She has given us a whole new perspective, as we share in her positive can-do attitude.

Kyle Hildenbrand, Canopy Tour Guide

Kyle Hildenbrand, Canopy Tour Guide
Kyle is a teacher by trade. In the winter, he's both a Bretton Woods Alpine and Adaptive Ski School Instructor as well as a music teacher at White Mountain School. Kyle resides in Whitefield, NH and his jovial nature will be sure and put a smile on your face.

Megan Hinds, Canopy Tour Guide

Megan Hinds, Canopy Tour Guide
Megan grew up on her family's golf course in Colebrook, NH and is currently attending Lyndon State College for Ski and Snow Sport Management. She worked at Bretton Woods for the first time last ski season as part of a practicum for her college major. She quickly fell in love with the location and the staff and decided to spend her summer at Bretton Woods. In her free time, she loves traveling around the East Coast, spending time with friends, her border collie named Harley, and of course eating. We're thrilled to have her on our staff and you'll undoubtedly have fun if she's guiding your tour!

Paul Ingersoll, Canopy Tour Guide

Paul Ingersoll, Canopy Tour Guide
Good natured and perfectly suited to guide our tours doesn't even begin to describe the wonder of Paul. He joined us straight off his snowboard, spending the winter both patrolling and guiding. Paul greets every adventure with a smile, whether leading a canopy tour, riding his motorcycle, or looking for turkeys in the woods with his eight year old son. As an incredible balance between hard working, capable and fun loving, Paul combined his diverse life experiences to come on board the Canopy Tour.

Patrick McKerley, Canopy Tour Guide

Patrick McKerley, Canopy Tour Guide
Patrick came to Bretton Woods long before the rest of the team, primarily as a ski patroller in the winter months. It soon became evident that he was a willing and able "Patrick-of-all-trades." He is a natural teacher who seamlessly reaches out to all ages, abilities and walks of life. We know you are in capable hands with Patrick as a guide.

Steve Nichipor, Canopy Tour Guide

Steve Nichipor, Canopy Tour Guide
Steve's love for the mountains has been an ever-present force throughout his life. He has been a professional guide for a number of years. Whether zipping through the trees, skiing Tuckerman Ravine or climbing on Cathedral Ledge, he always enjoys helping people have an unforgettable adventure. A backcountry skier, avid rock and ice climber, coffee roaster, builder, loving father and husband, culinary artist and wilderness emergency care provider - there isn't much that Steve is not ready and willing to undertake.

Zack Potter, Canopy Tour Guide

Zack Potter, Canopy Tour Guide
Zack's love of the White Mountains began at the ripe old age of 3 when his family moved here from Michigan. From there it grew by leaps and bounds through high school ski programs including ski jumping. Following "spiritual awakening" trips to France and Australia's Outback and Great Barrier Reef, Zack finally landed at Hobart College where he double majored in Religion and Music. After 4 more years as a "flatlander" in Western NY, the inner ski bum got the best of him again in the summer of 2009 and he's been attached at the hip to Bretton Woods ever since assisting our ski school program and canopy tour.

Mike Walker, Canopy Tour Guide

Mike Walker, Canopy Tour Guide
Mike is no stranger to heights, as he has spent many years building log homes with a family business in northern New Hampshire. On his free time he enjoys kayaking, gardening, and searching the woods for moose antlers.
