• Red Zone: First time skiing or riding.
• Yellow Zone: I have skied or snowboarded before. Working on turning and stopping.
• Learning Center Green: Turning and stopping in a wedge for skiers and heel and toe-side for snowboarders. Working on linking turns.
• Mountain Green: Linking turns and maintaining speed control on all green trails. Mountain Green riders must be able to link a variety of turns on all green and some blue terrain before moving to the Blue Zone.
• Blue Zone: I am skiing and riding mostly blue trails, using a variety of turn shapes to control my speed. I challenge myself with some black trails. Blue Zone must be able to ski and ride all blue and some black terrain before moving to the Black Zone.
• Black Zone: I am skiing parallel and riding a variety of black trails (bumps, trees, and steeps) and exploring basic freestyle movements.

Yes. Season pass pricing typically increases as the season approaches. Purchasing early offers the best value and secures your rate before prices go up. Prices generally increase around May 31, and again in October. Stay tuned to our website, social media, or sign up for our newsletter for up-to-date information.

You must be present and show your valid season pass to receive any pass benefit. You must pick up your resort partner pass from the resort where it was purchased. If you do not have your season pass, you will be charged a fee to receive a single-day lift ticket. Pass benefits and discounts are for 2026/27 winter season and may not be combined with other special offers or discounts. Bretton Woods season passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Rates and information subject to change without notice.

Some passes include blackout dates or limited access periods, while others offer unrestricted access. Review each pass description carefully to understand any restrictions that apply.

New Season Pass holders can pick up their passes at the Pass Office or Guest Services in the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Current pass holders can reload their existing RFID card.

Guests can pick up their reserved equipment the day before based on availability. Next-day pickup is only available from 2 PM – 3:30 PM for the following day.

The Bretton Woods Ski Area offers a wide variety of alpine terrain suitable for all skill levels, including beginner-friendly, intermediate, and expert-level slopes. One of the largest cross-country ski areas on the East Coast, we also offer a 100-kilometer network of Nordic and backcountry ski trails.

The Bretton Woods Ski Area does NOT offer night skiing or riding. Information that suggests we do, please consider the source, the publication date, and disregard as the information is outdated and unaffiliated with the Bretton Woods Ski Area.

Visitors to Bretton Woods can choose between day passes, multi-day passes, and season passes available at varying rates based on date and advance purchase. You can find more information on availability and rates here.

The Bretton Woods Ski Area does not sell tickets through any unapproved third-party vendors. Any ticket purchased from anyone other than Bretton Woods Ski Area, Omni Hotels and Resorts, and approved third-party vendors will not be honored.

Yes, our rental shop offers quality equipment to enhance your skiing and snowboarding experience, with expert technicians on hand to assist you in finding the right skis, snowboard, or whatever you’re looking for. Be sure to book in advance, as rentals require advance online reservations at least 24 hours prior to your arrival date. Yes, we offer group and private lessons for both children and adults, as well as a semi-private option for families and friends. Group lessons are also available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and select holidays at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for both children and adults.

All lessons meet on snow at the Ski School Meeting Place, located at the base of the Learning Center Quad. You should arrive 15 minutes prior to your lesson ready to go with your purchased lift tickets or season pass visible.

Adult Learn to Ski & Ride lessons include rentals and lift ticket for the Learning Center Quad only. Children’s Group Lessons include a Full Mountain Lift Ticket only. Rentals are purchased separately. All other lessons require the purchase of lift tickets and/or rentals separate from the lesson.

Yes. Ski and snowboard equipment are available, along with snowshoes, Nordic equipment, and fat bikes. Rentals should be reserved 48 hours in advance online through the Bretton Woods eStore.

The rental shop is open 1 hour prior to lifts opening and 15 minutes after lifts are closed.
