High-Alpine Eco Tours with the AMC | Check out our Packages
2009/10
Join an Adventure Guide from the Appalachian Mountain Club for this fun and informative high-alpine, snowshoe eco-tour to the summit of Mt. Stickney or West Mountain at the Bretton Woods alpine ski area. This program involves an easy to moderate hike of about 2-3 hours.
Appropriate clothing/gear is required, and some winter clothing is available from AMC; you must reserve in advance:
- Small Daypack for extra clothing and gear
- Sturdy winter hiking boots-no sneakers
- Wool/fleece warm hat
- Winter gloves
- Insulating upper layer (Fleece or wool jacket)
- Insulating bottom layer (Fleece or wool pants)
- Winter Jacket-Waterproof
- Winter Pants-Waterproof-no cotton/denim
- Personal first aid items
- Snack for summit
- Water bottle OR Camelback
- Sunscreen

Schedule:
- December 20 as conditions warrant through March 21, 2010
- Sundays, 10:00 am & 1:00 pm. Meet at the Canopy Tour Building at 9:30 am & 12:30 pm.
- Special mid-week Eco Tours during December & February Family Fun Weeks
- Wednesday, December 30, 2009; 10:00 am & 1:00 pm. Meet at the Alpine Adventure Center at 9:30 am & 12:30 pm.
- Wednesday, February 17, 2010; 10:00 am & 1:00 pm. Meet at the Alpine Adventure Center at 9:30 am & 12:30 pm.
