High-Alpine Eco Tours with the AMC | Check out our Packages
2011/12
Join an Adventure Guide from the Appalachian Mountain Club for this fun and informative high-alpine, snowshoe eco-tour to the summit of Mt. Stickney or West Mountain at the Bretton Woods alpine ski area. This program involves an easy to moderate hike of about 2-3 hours.
Appropriate clothing/gear is required, and some winter clothing is available from AMC; you must reserve in advance:
- Snowshoes - you must bring your own or rent some in advance of the scheduled start time
- Small Daypack for extra clothing and gear
- Sturdy winter hiking boots-no sneakers
- Wool/fleece warm hat
- Winter gloves
- Insulating upper layer (Fleece or wool jacket)
- Insulating bottom layer (Fleece or wool pants)
- Winter Jacket-Waterproof
- Winter Pants-Waterproof-no cotton/denim
- Personal first aid items
- Snack for summit
- Water bottle or Camelback
- Sunscreen

Cost
- Adults (13-64): $27
- Children (5-12) & Seniors (65 & up): $24
Schedule:
- January 1 through March 25, 2012, as conditions allow.
- Sundays, 10am and 1pm. Meet at the Bretton Woods Guest Services desk at 9:30am or 12:30pm.
